James Garrett Kizer

James Garrett Kizer is an attorney at Kublan Khan, PLC where he practices family and immigration law. Mr. Kizer is a passionate advocate for his clients and enjoys building relationship with the people he is privileged to represent.

Mr. Kizer is known as a direct, no-nonsense litigator and an aggressive advocate for his clients. His goal is to tailor his approach to each case, based on what his clients need and the individual demands of each case.

Mr. Kizer has been admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is a member in good standing of Virginia State Bar, the Arlington County Bar Association, and the Fairfax County Bar Association (Family Law Section).

Mr. Kizer obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where he worked extensively with underprivileged immigrant communities through nonprofits and a legal clinic. Mr. Kizer concentrates his law practice in the areas of family law and immigration law, particularly in situations where the two intercept. Mr. Kizer also has extensive experience working with asylum seekers and clients in removal proceedings.
