UNCONTESTED DIVORCE: If both parties agree to the divorce, amicably resolve their property and/or child custody issues, and sign all necessary documents, then we can proceed with an uncontested divorce, provided the parties have been separated for the required amount of time (six months when the parties don’t have minor children and 12 months when the parties have minor children). A client can also obtain an uncontested divorce if his or her spouse’s whereabouts are unknown and the spouse does not respond to our service by publication.
* In the event that an uncontested divorce is no longer possible, the client will be billed based on a rate of $350 per hour and any previously-collected fees will be used as an advance fee deposit.
**If you need to change your last name as part of the divorce proceeding, please add $41 for court filing fee.
